THE REASON FOR THE SEASON: The person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is God the son (the second but not any lesser in the Holy Trinity), He is the son of man, He is Emmanuel (God with us), born in a manger — He is the promise of God’s love to man for redemption (John 3:16). By the mention of His name, everything in Heaven and on earth bows (Philippians 2:10). That’s how great Jesus is, John the baptist (a well revered prophet of old, who came to pave the way for Christ) prophesied that He that is coming after him is greater than him (John the baptist), he mentioned that Jesus is so great that he can’t untie the lace of His shoes (John 1:27). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). We should constantly seek to fix our eyes on Him. He loves us so much that despite our sinful nature and constantly sinning against Him, He saw our salvation as ‘joy’ and because of that He endured the cross, despising its shame — He died to save us all (Hebrews 12:2). He is our comforter and helper, with Him we shouldn't be troubled because He will give us rest (Matthew 11:28). JESUS LOVES US ALL (John 25:9). We can’t enjoy Jesus’ love unless we confess our sins to Him, believe that He died to save our sins, and accept Him as our Lord and personal saviour (Romans 6:23, John 3:3, Ephesians 2:8–9, 1 John 1:9, John 3:36). As we set our eyes upon the hill, where our help cometh from, and confess Jesus as our Lord and personal saviour — may His peace which surpasses all understanding rest with us all in Jesus name.
